Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents in honor of the town where she grew in. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author as well as editors. Ryder's mother and father are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder relocated with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family resided in an area without electric power. Ryder who loved reading when she was 12 years old, became a reader since Ryder had no access to television. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was just 15 years old, was offered a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied in her high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor her behaviour was going to be corrected. However, that didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her goal. It was 1988 when Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
